If there's any agenda, Mr. Funk, it's to inform the uninformed people like you about what goes on beyond the pit fence. You race fans are constantly on here posting about car counts, why this team or that teams doesn't show for such and such a race etc. etc. There are reasons why car counts are what they are at certain tracks and why some teams don't show. This thread is about drivers/teams who may possibly enter two different classes. If you did your homework, you would notice that after I pointed out that the promoters are collecting double pit pass money that several objected to this practice. Secondly, I'm sure some teams have already read about the double pit pass fee themselves. They didn't need me to point it out, but I'm sure some were not aware of it since it's buried in an entry blank on the web site. Bottom line Mr. Funk, whether I point out this fact or not, some teams are not going to show for this event because of this practice. If you want an example of what I'm talking about, reread what Mr. Branson has to say about double pit pass charges. If I were going to consider racing two classes at that facility I certainly would like to know the pit pass fees before I showed up and I'm sure many have no idea that they will be charged double. And you can be assured that there will be some that will show up and will be very unhappy when they find out. Contrary to what many of you fans think, there is a lot more to it than loading up a race car and showing up at a race track. And contrary also to what you think, not everyone that shows up at the pit pass shack is a multimillionaire as someone else thought in one of the posts in this thread. Many teams that you watch on the track live week to week with their race operation, pinching pennies here and there to survive. Have some respect for the lower budget teams and those that don't have a million dollars to spend in one season. Paying the promoters twice could be a very valid reason why you people in the stands are constantly on here posting about car counts. If 20 guys want to pay double to race there, more power to them, but there are probably just as many who won't show because of it. Paying double to enter the pits is a very very uncommon practice and as you can tell by some of the posts is not very popular.
