"That Alliance entry was originally to be driven by Shane Hmiel, but the required test he needed before he raced was cancelled. What we've heard is that a back injury was discovered during his physical, and the IndyCar Series medical staff wants that injury healed before he drives an IndyCar. Hmiel has been driving despite the injury and recently locked up the pavement portion of the USAC Amsoil Sprint Car championship. There are hopes that Hmiel will be healed in time to run at Homestead."
