Lots to talk about on this one. The best pavement track is the one mile PIR in Phoenix. The old real Copper Classic was the best there was for a pavement track. Dirt tracks been all around this country and the story is PREP! In California the two best clay tracks are Chico 1/4 or Petaluma 3/8s. You can have a bad day at Manzy. There seems to be a lot now. The last three years the PREP has not been done. I guess the cost of labor. Keith Hall and bro could fix that track for the hot days there.
History Ascott was right up there. The fog would come in an soak that track. You would think it had rained. Sitting in the stands your bills on the cap would get soaked and your highs on your pants very wet. It would never dry out, unless the wind was blowing out of the East.:angry-smiley-007:
Chico is very hot and the track holds up very well. This track has a 4 day show and there is no bad day!:Steer
