If anything changes I will let you know A.S.A.P If you are coming 421-29-22 to Phyllips you will need to turn at the first street south of Morgan (Spraker street- -at the park) and run east to Washington, Rays drive inn is on the corner of Spraker and Washington. With just a few races left at Kokomo we need to pack the place, hope to see you there. Both detours are trailer friendly

Thanks Jerry,
It's funny, every time I get a chance to go to Kokomo I drive until I see some familiar gas station on the left as I drive up US 31 and turn left. I then kind of wiggle my way there. I've never really had any directions. I remember when my Dad raced there with Hal Minyard at the wheel we were always coming from Eldora the night before so I think we might have back doored it then.
One night up there I was driving for Randy Johnson - about 6 weeks before I broke my leg up there in 1993 - and I some how lost my wallet and wedding ring out of my McHal Helmet bag. (I dumped my bag out trying to find my truck keys) I didn't realize it until I got almost back home to Indy when my ring finger felt naked. I turned around and drove all the way back up there. I found my wallet in the grass, but not the shinny wedding ring, so for about the third time I had to buy another cheap wedding ring from Service Merchandise. LOL. (None of you kids probably remember Service Merchandise)
Kokomo sure has changed over the years. Jerry, if I get up there before summer's end, I will bring an old program to show you. It has a picture of Hal Minyard standing next to my Dad's car. We never won up there, but I do have an old trophy from a trophy dash that Hal won driving for Dad probably back in 1970 or 71.
Man I still love the history.
