Yeah, it was unfortunate that they ran the "mortified's" before the real show. Lots of people were, and still are ticked off. Last time I checked, no one went to that show to watch stock cars. But, McCool Junction, being the fabulous place it is, decided to call it a "full" show. Granted, like most tracks, a night is considered complete once the heat races are over. But when you see a storm coming, why wouldn't you hurry up and get the real show out on the track?!?! THE ONE THAT THE PEOPLE CAME TO SEE! We had a good 45 min warning.. Who gives a **** about the modified's. One track official was overheard saying that the POWRI officials didn't want to run in front of the modified's. Thats not what I heard from a few of the drivers mouths...
Mr. Delmar still hasn't figured his **** out. This was the first, and last time I will ever attend an event held at Junction Motor Speedway. After driving two hours to the show, It was very disappointing. You would think that after they ran out of food and drinks when the WoO car's were there a month ago, they would have got their **** together...sure wasn't the case.. Maybe that's why they didn't have a crowd to start with.. hmm..
The open wheel racing was good while it lasted, I give props to the crew and drivers... As for the POWRI officials, they don't know how to count to 5, and I've made my case for the track officials..
Great Show at Rising City the night before! I wish I was saying that I'd be back tomorrow, but to the hell with Junction.. The All-Star Sprints are running tomorrow night at Rising City, It's sad to say, because I love midget racing so much more, but I won't give McCool another dime of my money.
