Here are my ten.

1)Good friends, some of whom we don't get to see often enough. We welcome them back at anytime. A special shout out to Buck Rice and his grandson Johnny. Thanks for spending time with us and entertaining us with your stories.

2)Jon Stanbrough and the Fox Brothers Racing team. Jon showed us all why he is one of the great drivers no matter what state you are talking about. A great season so far with many wins still ahead.

3)Great racing from start to finish. 7 different tracks that did an excellent job of hosting the fans, drivers, crews, car owners and sponsors. A lot of long hours by the track crews with a bunch of water being laid down. Thanks guys.

4)Good car counts. Let's hope that it continues. Attendance was also good. Not too many empty grandstand seats.

5)Sprintweek WITHOUT a qualifying race. The way it should be done. USAC, let's get rid of it for good. Let them race in a heat race and be eligible for a semi at least.

6)Brownstown Speedway joining the fold. A neat little, throw back track to days gone by. I hope them become a permanent stop on the tour.

7)A decent track surface at the Action Track. See it can be done. Reece, Bob and whoever else is responsible, THANK YOU.

8)A first time winner in Blake Fitzpatrick. A great run from a guy who is always up on the wheel. I am sure the second one will be right around the corner. A number of other drivers had shining moments as well. Good luck to all in the second half of the season.

9)A strange points battle, up and down. Jon mentioned it Saturday night. About the time you felt that someone was ready to gain control, something happened to open the door again for a number of drivers.

10)Group qualifying. Not a real fan of this but I might have to get used to it. I am old school I guess, so individual car qualifying is how I grew up and what I enjoy. Time will tell.

I hope everyone enjoyed the 2010 Indiana Sprintweek as much as I did.

Mike

Be nice to people on the way up. You might need them on the way down. Jimmy Durante
