I might add though that they had a 25 cent hot dog night. I'm sure someone in their promotion department got a heck of a deal on the hot dogs as there were large signs advertising whose brand of hot dog it was and several announcements over the speakers talking about the brand.
With the exception of Lawrenceburg and Dave Rudisell having specials like that I can't think of any tracks that do that. This is one area that most tracks are lacking in a big way. You have to PROMOTE something special. I have to commend Terre Haute for offering the family infield package. More promoters need to realize that because a guy with 2 or 3 kids can't afford to go to the races. I sometimes wonder if they are satisfied with the crowds they get. Ever wonder why every restaurant around is offering a deal these days....to get some people in the place.
