Not that I'm going to change anyone's mind, but one of the reasons I like soccer is that, like sprint car racing, I don't dare take my eyes off it from beginning to end. If I do, I'll miss something important.
Now, if you're used to watching American soccer, you might not get it. American kids have been raised on "kick and chase". Very few of them learn any ball handling skills. And, if you watch it on TV, the directors don't include enough of the field. The European directors take a wider view, so you can see what the players off the ball are doing. That's very important, and it's very interesting. If all you do is watch the ball, you're like a race fan that only watches the front car. :-)
I hope no one complaining is a baseball fan. That's the worlds greatest spectator sport. It must be, because 15 of the 18 players are spectators most of the time. :-))
