I got a kick out of watching the USAC flagman work last night. A lot of flagmen don't do a "half way" crossed flags, or a "two laps to go" signal anymore. His "furl and twirl" wrist motions with the flags right before giving the half-way and "two to go" signals is very entertaining, and I would have to think helps the drivers see them.
