I have been eagerly watching for a post on this for the last week or so and haven’t seen anything recently. Has there been a decision made as to whether or not there is going to be a red flag on lap 51 at the 2010 Hoosier 100?

There have been a lot of opinions on this, but, the bottom line is (in my opinion) there will be no Hoosier 100 race if there aren’t people in the stands of ISF. When we go race, we get paid because we are entertaining people and they pay us to do that.

When I pay my money to attend this race, I am going to see a champ dirt car race with a lot of history behind it.

Are people like myself that recognize the difference between a 100 mile Silver Crown car race and a 40 lap Sprint car race, etc. not the majority of the people in the stands? I would think that most of the people in the stands understand what they are going there to see.

That being said, in my opinion, the red flag at lap 51 make no sense. If you understand what you are going there to see, and there isn't much passing, action, etc. then you knew that going in the gate. Some of the 100 lappers are awesome races and some aren't so awesome. The tracks differ and so do the conditions and you know that going in the gate.

D.O. was going to have the promoter of this race on his show this week but I didn't hear that show and didn't see any postings on this recently.

Please let me know if there has been a decision on this one way or the other.
