Even then, it looked like everyone was going to have a problem getting around Bacon (Brady) who started on the front row. Hockett spun early and was sent to the back, but worked his way into contention. It was a great race and I can say that the folks here in Houston that DON'T get to see this kind of racing were astounded. I don't recall ever hearing a crowd at HRP being that vocal. The promoter was a little disappointed in the low car count, but was certainly all smiles in victory lane after the race. Attendance was in the 4,000+ range. Pictures are currently being uploaded.
