How about if you took the number drawn which falls exactly in the middle and made that car be the 5th car in the third heat and then took all the two digit numbers and combined them, i.e. #17 would become #8, except for 2 digit numbers ending in 0 which would, of course, be divided by 5, thus creating......umm.......uh oh.......I'm kinda lost here. I'll work on this and get back to you, but probably not in time to be useful this season.
