Unfortunately, in this electronic, instant access world we now live in, no one wants to "wait" for their news. Newspapers across the country have been falling by the wayside as well as merging with others. Magazines are much the same way as most people won't wait until the magazine comes out for information.
Some have re-invented themselves and have an online presence to help stem the tide. I remember I used to wait patiently for Thursday afternoon to come for my copy of the NSSN. Yes, I received mine today, but a lot of the news in there is "old & stale" as I have already read or heard about it through other sources.
I think you will see many other newspapers and magazines fold over the next few years. Readership is down and advertisers have found other options more viable and profitable. Change is a constant today and for those who do can expect to live on. Those that can't fall by the side of the road.
