I remember the October race. My first trip to Eldora... I was 14 years old and thought at that time "Man there's a bunch of cars here" Now we all complain when there are less than 30 cars at a race...me included. Guess we don't realize how good we have it.

Question for Marv Fish ( as well as info for Chad Branson)

Rutherford set the track record that day of 17.92. If my memory is correct wasn't it lowered ( in the spring of 1966) to 17.81 and held by Don Branson for about 15 years?
