Agreed about Larson and Branson even though I only got to see Jud in just a few races. Branson was not afraid to get close to the fence to put it mildly.

I did go to the October Eldora race posted. I remember JR setting the track record but having a problem with the car in the process. This accounts for his showing in his heat race. The points battle with JR and Greg Weld was getting pretty intense at this point. After Rutherford's heat race Roger McCluskey offered to turn Mutt's #51 over to JR if he needed it to help in the points chase. The Meskowski #9 was ready to go in the consi and feature as the results show.
