The track is now promoted by the guys who run the CRA Super Series for owner Charlie Shaw. They have four different divisions that they promote so most every show has at least one or two of their divisions running. I am afraid that with the economy being what it is, USAC, ARCA and USARacing is probably priced out of the market. In an earlier post about the USAC schedule, I mentioned that I was surprised that USAC only had one date at Winchester.
Pavement sprint car racing (non wing) isn't a very strong card any longer. Car counts are low and fans aren't exactly breaking down the gates to get in. I am afraid that 2010 could be the last year for a while to see regular non wing pavement sprint cars. I hope that I am wrong on this.
Along this line, I am also disappointed that Winchester hasn't been on a supermodified schedule. I would like to see the ISMA or MSA put on a show there. Not going to happen in 2010.
