Was the Charlestown track on Highway 3 right as you're entering town? That's the location of the Podium One Motocross track, and I heard (or read) that the motocross track is on the grounds of the old race track.
Did anybody here attend any racing at Scottsburg Speedway (also called I-65 Speedway, I think, or Scott County Speedway). I remember hearing racing from my house when I was younger, and I remember a few years of good racing during the fair, back when Late Models were still pretty wedgy and radical-looking, at least to a 6 year old. Now all they do is Crate Lates and pure stocks and mini stocks come fair time.
