I think track promoters are kind of like farmers. They all say they are broke, but have a wad of money in their overalls and their land is not up for sale.

If race track pomoting was a big money losing project, why would there be so many race tracks?

I do think that some of the greedy promoters have hurt their self by their own self greed and are not as profitable as they could be.
WOW DON, This is Daves THIRD year promoting. Consider he broke even year one. Missed about five races last spring due to construction.

Purchased tons of new equiptment. The green water truck was 30g and he purchased another bigger one this year plus sheeps foot. Might have even bought Mel's Tractor, IDK. Has ten time the lighting and electric than the old track. He runs about 15 more employees than the old track took and charges a meer three dollars more.
Oh yeah he upped the purse to highest paying in state for a weekly.

I know there down there at least four or five days a week when other promotors put two or three into it.
I HOPE HE MAKES A BILLION! Nobodys gonna do it any better IMHO.
