I have listened to that car and there is more under the hood then just a stock motor and fuel injection.....sounds like some sort of computerized traction control to me. A couple of other folks have told me they have heard the same thing.

There are plenty of systems out there that cost thousands of dollars that can improve the overall performance of the motor. I know, I have had the guys up at our local motorcycle shop try to sell me some and they are upwards of $2k or more.

That being said, I have no problem with cars running alcohol, methanol or gas....whatever people want to run, as long as the motor hasn't been modified. And as for the cost of racing fuel, I could buy a lot of $8/gallon fuel for the cost of switching my motor to Alcohol. Not that we do, we have run 93 all season.

I also don't see running gas as being that dangerous as long as you are running a good, safe fuel cell.

As for "creativity"......well, that's fine.....until the $$$$ involved run your average weekend racer right out of the sport. It's easy to be creative if you are willing to spend the money on it. I doubt most of you guys would be real happy if some 'creative' car owner with serious cash started winning every weekend.
