The issue earlier in the year was tires. WOMS were using American Racers as an alternative and didn't want to give Hoosier exclustivity but after the dismal car turnout in the earlier race, it was made clear Hoosiers were the only tire that could be used in this Berlin race hoping to draw more cars.
USAC pulled their sanctioning of the Regional Midget program. It is now only DK Promotions [Don Kenyon].
Also unlike the last 2 years, UMARA has nothing to do with this race, however I believe there will be lots of UMARA cars at this event. The Midgets always put on a heck of a show at Berlin. Come out and see it for yourself.
