I question the "by 4pm the track looked ready to race on". You are indeed correct about the weather being sunny and hot. As I mentioned on another thread, with a lot of hard work this show could of been run. It would have been a later start but I feel it could have been done. It rained over night and into the morning but quit and the sun came out and helped dry the track. For the Monday ARCA race, they had to water the track a couple of times to keep the dust down.
