PRoblem with locking top ten in points is, Who's going to show up knowing there is only ten spots left?????

Why not get rid of most rules, RUN OPEN 460 big block, whatever. Open the tire to all brands but two compounds each. Limit rim size to ten inches and have a compression rule so BOMB motors aren't welcome. Those two rules right there equalize a ton of factors except skill. You could make a 283 with 327 heads competitive or a small block 400 as long as cars weren't glued to the track and screaming 11,000 rpm
