Several years ago, before I'd ever been to a race there, I stopped in during the week, on my way back from Chicago and I talked to Mr. Kamp for a few minutes. He was real nice guy. Told me the bright red racing surface was Kentucky clay he had brought in.

Yeah I know times i have gone up there for a special latemodel or mod show the racing was always good, but it has always been dusty. I dont think they have put new clay down since they redone the track. I could be wrong though.
Not to mention they give you chips and a pickle with every burger or hotdog i believe unless that has changed.
