"There is something for everyone this weekend at Vermilion County Speedway!!!! It all starts at noon on Saturday when the Car Show portion of the Scion of Danville Tuner and Rock '09 kicks off. At 1 o'clock, we will fire up the x-box 360's for the Rock Band Competition. All ages are eligible for the Rock Band Competition as long as they have a singer, drummer and guitarist. At 2 o'clock the judging of the car show will begin and at 4, the barn will be the place to be when we run the cars through the dark building so they can show off their neon in the Glow Competition.
After the Tuner and Rock Show we will have our regular line up of:

The Toyota of Danville Modifieds
The Wright Motor Company Late Models
The Vermilionchevrolet.com Street Stocks
and the Route 1 Auto Repair Pure Stocks
(The 50 lap features for the Sprints and the Modifieds will be rescheduled for a later date, the features will be the regular number of laps.)

Huge Fireworks display!!!!
To answer your question about the fireworks on the 4th, the city of Danville will be having their display along with two other organizations in the area. With all of that going on, we are working with the city and holding off on our fireworks until Sunday night.

On the original schedule that I printed early in the year VCS had the 4 of July listed as a 50 lapper for both modifieds and sprints with a big fireworks show. Does anyone know if they are still doing that or are they having fireworks at all? Any help would be appreciated. Have three small children who have to see fireworks on the 4 so I must figure out if I can go to VCS Sat. nite.
