Spoonriver Speedway has been struggling all year with low car counts and low attendance. Some estimates have been put the attendance at just over 100 people. If you have been there you know the main grandstand can hold way more than that. It wouldn't surprise me they extend their July racing schedule on through the rest of the season:

Only two races in July and one is a makeup date for a MASS event that was rained out. Yeah it looks like it was planned but alot of the talk this spring was this year was a test to see how the new payout format was going to work in bringing in cars for the modified series (over 30 makes a better payout) and so far it doesn't look like it has worked.
