Here is some food for thought. Jon Stanbrough didn't run particularly well in his heat race. Granted he started shotgun on the field but he fell one position short of transferring out to the feature. By not transferring out he had to run the B main. Jeff Bland Jr had the same fate as Stanbrough and he also had to run the B main.
Last night that was probably an advantage for both of them as they marched their way to the front. Track conditions changed from the heat races and with no track prep prior to the feature, Jon and Jeff were able to take advantage of what they learned in the B main. The conversation of track prep prior to the feature came up on another thread last week and some drivers like it others don't Was running the B main an advantage last night? I think it was. I may be way off here, what do you guys and gals think?
