Here's some food for thought.

Back in 1990 CRA offered a $10,000 bonus to any non CRA driver that could beat them on their Midwestern swing. I think something like that should be done for the USAC Eastern Tour next year. If I remember right Frank Lewis (CRA President) bought an insurance policy from Lloyd's of London for the bonus money. I wouldn't want it opened up to all PA Posse drivers as that might be a recipe for (crashes) disaster. Maybe they could offer it to the top 5 or 10 in Pennsylvania Speed Dog points or something like that. That would get car counts up and create more interest from Posse fans as they would now have a rivalry just like they do with "The Outlaws". However these select PA Posse drivers should have practice night's set up for them in advance as to not embarrass or hurt themselves in the process.

Plus USAC must take a more proactive stance with the PA Promoters when it comes to track preparation if they want their races to be a success. The promoters out this way haven't done their homework on traditional sprintcars. They don't know a typical winged slick track doesn't work for non wingers. I've heard locals say you can make the track heavy for USAC or CRA because they'll turn over. Every regular on this board knows what a crock of $hit that is. It just goes to show their lack of knowledge concerning real sprintcars out east. Let the sprinters pack the track instead of the push trucks or tank trucks and you'll have a much better race.

My picks for next year's USAC Eastern Swing:

Wednesday - Grandview - w/ARDC
Thursday - Trailways - no support division
Friday - Williams Grove - no support division
Saturday - Lincoln - w/ARDC
Sunday - Susky - no support division

I think some type of point fund money should be awarded to the top 5 in points from this series of races.

If Trailways & Susky are too scared to participate due to fear of not making the purse, then Bob Miller (TOTH promoter) should lease the tracks for the night. He'll make it a success. Really as far as I'm concerned Miller should run the whole deal as he pays attention to details and is a promoter, not just a track operator.

Also, if you're going to charge $25.00 at the gate you either got to bring in ARDC as your support division or you have no support division and use that extra money to help pay tow money to USAC's long haulers.

What do you guys think of these ideas?
