Except they're not Sprint Cars, 2" x 4" framerails. 90" wheelbase, engine 44.5" out. I don't know the area's history, but I'd guess they're an evolution of an old Supermodified class. Common chassis...

It's a pretty rare guy who can just show up at the track and be of much real use. Normally that guy's a crew chief type or a shock specialist. Teams are looking for him, not him looking for a team.
