I was not at this race, but I am sure many open wheel fans that were there that day, will never forget - Johnny Rutherford at Eldora Speedway, Ohio on 3 April 1966. :(

"Rutherford suffered two broken arms and multiple bruises about the head and face." Motorsport Annual Pictorial 1966-67 Edition.

I, also, was there that day. It was a very pleasant surprise to find out that the car landed on all four wheels in the creek bed. I think Johnny's definition of Good Luck
(When preparation meets opportunity) didn't apply that day- Divine Providence(God) said it wasn't time yet.
