POWRi National Midgets & Micro Sprints @ Macon

Hello race fans,

Highlights of the POWRi event this past Saturday at Macon Speedway are up at www.millsvideoproductions.com

The Midget clip appears on the front page and is the "Clip of the Week" brought to you by Dairy Queen of Petersburg and Sherman, IL. Thanks to Mike Hess for sponsoring the clip.

The Micro Sprint clip is brought to you by the promoters of the $5,000 to win Renagade Open Wheel Challenge event for wingless 600 sprints, scheduled for the PA Expo Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on November 28 & 29, 2008. Thanks to Ian and Brian for their support...

Both clips can be accessed at the top of the "Video Clips" page at the following address: http://www.millsvideoproductions.com/VideoClips.html

Enjoy...

Nice video, widh I'd have been there for that--wow. How many slide jobs did Siner and Loyet trade?

If Loyet ever gets into a sprint car, there will be a lot of people hurt. I have no problems with a good slide job, but only if there is room...many of his there were not. JMO :checkered:

Thanks for the high praise, folks...

It's easy to look like I know what I am doing when you have a race that was as good as that. I don't know if I've seen a better race than that all year long anywhere...

I finally went back and counted the number of passes for the lead, and it was 22 total. Two were called back due to yellow flags, but that means there were 20 complete passes for the lead in a 30 lap race on a 1/5 mile racetrack. That is as much action as you can cram into one midget race.

Oh, and if you haven't bothered to check out the Micro sprint clip for whatever reason, watch Dereck King's beautiful 4th to 1st move that won him the 20 lap event, and secured his 2nd straight POWRi Micro Sprint title. Also, this race was not decided until the final few feet as Austin Brown made a last lap charge that almost stole the victory away from King. Check it out...

Tune back in for more POWRi highlights from Jacksonville on Friday night. Thanks for watching. Sincerely,

Dean Mills
