Brown county sprintcar
 

Does anyone know the story behind the sprintcar sitting in a field, on the way to Nashville Indiana? Is it a memorial car or something? It is cool to see. I was just curious of the story behind it.

Yes he used to run at Bloomington was killed in a ATV accident and his wife put the car there in his memory I think his name was Mike Slater

Yea he raced at paragon and a few times at Bloomington. His name was mike slater. He was one of my dads best friends great guy. He got killed in an atv. Accident in the woods behind where that car sits now off of 135 going down to Nashville. That car does sit there as a memorial/ memory of mike slater. He is definitely missed.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I stopped on the way to Nashville and let my girlfriend's son look at the car. He got a kick out of it.

Always wandered about this, considering its only a couple miles away from where I live. Interesting stuff!
