With out a doubt the " Ellison Special " is just as beautiful in person as I had ever imagined her to be in my imagination. Seems like I have been reading about her and Jimmy Wilson's exploits at race tracks across the Mid west in the 60's forever and can't wait to for the first of the month to read more. The neat things is trying to place the fictional tracks names with actual tracks that existed back in the day. Great Video:8::8::8:

Love reading Dave Argabright's books on Jimmy Wilson and the Ellison Special and it is great to see someone enjoy the writings enough to create a "real" Ellison Special. Hope the gentleman that owns it has many memorable trips around the country to display his work of art. The other track where he is up to speed is the Latimore Valley Fairgrounds Speedway near Harrisburg, PA where they have several vintage car gatherings every year.

Latimore Valley is also the location of the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing. It is on Route 15 heading towards Gettysburg on the left hand side. It is only a few miles below Williams Grove Speedway. If you a race fan you must get there, if you are lucky Lynn Paxton will be there and what a treat it is to talk to him. They have a real nice library for research and reference work. Check out their website for hours of operation. I have spent many hours there and it is always well worth the trip.

Dad,
I asked Dave Argabright if there was a "Rosetta Stone" of sorts to identify the tracks and drivers and of course he said there wasn't and that everything is just a mixture of everything else. For what it is worth.:)
