HODGES GRABS SUNDAY’S “WINTER CHALLENGE” FEATURE

Peoria, AZ……..John Hodges of Tijeras, N.M. captured Sunday night’s 30-lap “Winter Challenge” USAC Southwest/West Coast Sprint Car special event feature at Canyon Speedway. He survived a torrid three-race vattle for the lead with R.J. Johnson and Brian Clauson and took the lead on lap 21. He paced the final 10 laps in his Parts Plus/Mesilla Valley Transportation Maxim/Ostrich to beat Johnson, Clauson, Charles Davis Jr. and Shon Deskins.

I certainly agree with that! He certainly showed a lot of improvement from his first to last race in Indiana last year. Always good to see someone new.
