New winged asphalt winged sprint update
Thanks to all who responded and PM me with so much feedback, it appears
everyone is interested in change. The general feelings are no more than a -12 engine, same American Racer tires on the right side (front and rear) all night long, single point Vertex mag, and same weight, wing, and car rules as the other winged series. Others have suggested a smaller tube header size and we are looking into this. We have contacted interested race tracks, now I need to know if there is any interest to take back to the tracks. Thanks John |
We need another new winged pavement series like I need a hole in the head! Car counts are slim already as is. So now we want 8 cars per race instead of 12? Try working with the two existing series and get them to work together instead. Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it! The fans are the ones who are really losing in the split between the two series.

John, any update on this series?

Re: New winged asphalt winged sprint update
Hello
I've been working on some rules to take out the need for 950+ horse high dollar engines, and came up with going back to the single point mags, American Racer tires (same right side tires all night long), at least 40 lap features with a higher invert, small tracks only, and the big thing is a maximum wing angle. The deeper the dish the lower the angle, and a 1/2" maximum wicker bill. Now I need to hear from interested participants to take a number to the tracks. Thanks John |
:deadhorse:Horrible idea.:deadhorse:
Eliminate 950hp? Try running crate motors with the wings on backwards. Sprint cars are supposed to be fast. |
Does series have a name or any tracks booked in 2016?
