Bloomington RaceSaver

After an exciting season at Bloomington we are already looking to 2016. We will be having an information meeting for anyone looking to get into a RaceSaver sprint. Some drivers from this year will be there and hopefully anyone putting one together so we can talk about the 2016 season. Meeting will be held at Holiday Inn Express on Sunday November 15th at 3:00pm. Address for meeting place is 117 S. Franklin RD. Bloomington, IN 47404.

Like the guy said, I'm not spending $200 to buy a tire for a race that pays $400 to win. And he's got money. Man of his word. Sold everything.

It's $600 to WIN and $150 to start!!!

That's the beauty of the RaceSaver class--and why it's called RaceSaver. It's a class that is designed to be cost effective as well as more competitive for the racer. A limit is placed on tires, motor, etc... So the emphasis is on keeping the cost down, as well as keeping the cars on a more even playing field so it is a driver and set up led class, and not based on expensive equipment.
If you have any questions about cost, or anything, please don't hesitate to ask! This is a great and growing class of cars, and we encourage anyone with questions to learn more and get some quality facts.

Re: Bloomington RaceSaver

This is our fourth year with a Racesaver engine, the same one with a little freshen. The four years were made possible in addition to other things by no tire rule, no membership fees, no registration fees and a lot of maintenance by the driver/ mechanic. But there are times now when certain people think affordable doesn't apply to the participants. So we just take one year at a time. :31:

I thought Racesaver tracks had to run the spec hard RR tire that sells for $165 or something like that... No?

Re: Bloomington RaceSaver

That was the beginning of making it less affordable. Then all of a sudden the left rear will be added. Then all will have to be the same brand. Then the $30 dollar registration fee becomes the $50 registration fee. And remember the to win amount was supposed to be double the starting amount. THE $1000 TO WIN IN BOLD PRINT, the $100 to start not so bold. And not what was intended. In the end, it just becomes so damn affordable, you have to quit. :6:

Haha! Gotcha! Been there.
I remember now that they added the spec RR later on...

to the naysayers, have you priced fishing tackle or golf equipment lately? or if you choose to just stay home and watch TV, there's the every increasing cable charge, racing costs money, complaining about it, not so much, it's your choice, keeps these message boards interesting.

What is the age requirement for this class at Bloomington? What about other tracks?
