“FALL NATIONALS” SATURDAY AT LAWRENCEBURG;

MESERAULL SCORES “4-CROWN” SPRINT CAR UPSET

The “Fall Nationals” are Saturday at Lawrenceburg (Ind.) Speedway and Robert Ballou continues to hold a slim lead over Chase Stockon and Dave Darland in the AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car standings.

All three recorded “top-10” finishes in last Saturday’s “4-Crown Nationals” at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio and only 35 points separate the trio entering Saturday’s Lawrenceburg race. Ballou stands 25 points ahead of Stockon and 35 ahead of Darland.

Thomas Meseraull of San Jose, Calif. scored an upset victory at Eldora in the Amati Racing Marion Underground Construction/Zeller Construction DRC/Claxton. He was the last of four feature lap leaders, but led the final 15 laps after passing Stockon on lap 16. Previous leaders included Kody Swanson and Bryan Clauson, who finished second and fourth respectively.

Trailing Meseraull at the checkered flag were Swanson, Darland, Clauson and Scotty Weir, while Ballou was eighth.

Logan Jarrett (April) and Brady Bacon (July) earned Lawrenceburg victories earlier this season.

Spectator gates at Lawrenceburg open at 5 pm and practice is scheduled to begin at 6 pm.

Can't wait for this one. Have had the date circled on my calendar a long time. Have not been able to go to many races this year due to broken back and dealing with an ageing parent. Hope weather holds up. Anybody know if cummins is running in this race?

$ 10,000 to win should bring in some great racing teams and hopefully kyle and short will be in the house for a great racing event.

Kyle Cummins and the 3R team are planning on being at the 'burg Saturday night.

I bet Kelsey isn't going to be happy. He better win the thing for he can make it up to her with a diamond ring. Lol 😀🏁🏆

There needs to be a correction to the Amati engine in the original post. Dynotech Racing Engines out of Memphis, TN builds the engines for the Amati Racing#66. Just a minor little detail LOL. Anyway see all of you at "The 'Burg" this weekend.

We are planning to trek across the state Saturday. Wunderground is now showing higher percentage of rain than earlier. We still have a couple of days for the weather guessers to change so hopefully it will all work out. :6:
