Sam Swindell

I haven't seen anything on IOW about it, but I saw in the Checkered Flag section of NSSN that "Swingin'" Sam Swindell, father of WoO driver "Slammin'" Sammy Swindell, died on May 17th at age 82. He had raced super modifieds and sprint cars in the middle Tennessee region, was a Korean War veteran and worked many years as a construction superintendent.
Condolences to the family.

I talked with Sam in the pits a few times over the years and he was always very nice to be around.
