Hoosier Hundred tires

Thank god for the new tire rule. Going through them right and left

What's the new tire rule? Is that why Darland & Leary were docked a lap?

staggerman 5/21/15 10:07 PM

Hoosier tires only, American Racer tires are banned.

I knew they went to the rear if they got new tires but I didn't know they got docked a lap!:11::(

I don't think that rule is in effect yet, believe it starts later in the year.

USAC silver crown is a hoosier only spec tire series

Leary and Darland were docked a lap for changing right rear tire but were allowed to restart in the spots they were running in when the red appeared but a lap down at that point. Believe that Steve Buckwalter blew tire and flipped in turn two to bring out that red.

That's the dumbest thing I ever heard of, losing a lap, but restarting in the same position? I can understand restarting at the rear of the field, but not losing a lap....glad I didn't waste money on that race....

Had a tire issue at last years 4crown too. Is this common or only as of late? I'm seriously asking. Last year was my first time seeing them in person.

I'm by no means a mile track silver crown nostalgia guy, and I would much rather see a sprint car on a half mile or less, but I thought last nights race was excellent. Tyler was awesome coming up and Pierce was fast as well. Plus there was a pass for the lead! Let's not lose sight of the bigger picture (I.e. This division is viable again) because a few guys had tire issues.
