For Immediate Release ALL COAST CHALLENGE UPDATE: FREE PIT PASS FOR EARLY ENTRIES - NIC FAAS - NEW BOUNTIES - TREK BICYCLE GIVEAWAY - McCOSKEY HARD CHARGER AWARD! (Ventura, CA, April 26, 2015) With less than two weeks until the May 9th “All Coast Challenge” at the Ventura Raceway, the perks continue to come in and the entry list continues to grow. Late last week All Coast’s Mike Grosswendt announced that another bounty had been met and all teams who pre-enter before May 1st will get one free pit pass. In addition to the drivers, kids will compete in a dance contest at intermission for a brand new Trek 820 Mountain Bicycle. The race will feature the west coast’s premiere sprint car racing series, the Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Cars, in a $5,000.00 to win $500.00 to start main event on the beachside oval. Two weeks ago Grosswendt announced that All Coast will pay the USAC entry fee for any team that pre-enters the race by May 1st. Combined with the announcement of the free pit pass, teams will make a substantial savings at the pit gate on the 9th. Drivers wishing to get their entry in to qualify for the booty can call or E-mail stating intention to race to Scott Daloisio at: (909) 226-7768 or mailto:sdaloisiosports@aol.com One of the biggest announcements to hit the race was the Josh Ford Motorsports entry for Huntington Beach, California open wheel racing star Nic Faas. A perennial front runner, the 25-year-old was Grosswendt’s original inspiration for the bounties to get star drivers into the race. Faas has finished second a pair of times (2011 & 2012) in the USAC/CRA championship series. He has 10 lifetime USAC/CRA wins and that ties him for 5th in series history. Faas won the 2008 USAC Western Midget championship and the 2007 USAC California Ford Focus Midget championship. At intermission, All Coast Construction will give the winner of the kid's Beatle's dance contest a brand new Trek 820 entry level mountain bike. The bicycle is equally suited to beginner trails or potholed city streets. The bike was provided by Michael's Bicycles in Newbury Park, a family owned and operated bike store with the largest selection of mountain bikes in the Conejo Valley! Be sure to visit Michael's Bicycles at the Newbury Square Shopping Center, 2257 Michael Drive, Newbury Park, CA. As well as the Faas bounty mentioned earlier, another bounty was met this week when Chris Gansen announced that Stockton’s Jonathon Henry would be in one of his cars for the prestigious race. All Coast is still offering $500.00 for any owner who puts David Cardey, Danny Sheridan, Shane Golobic, Bud Kaeding, Dave Darland or Gary Taylor in a car for the event. It also added Missouri’s Hunter Schuerenberg and Californians Brand Thomson and D.J. Johnson to the $500.00 bounty list. As well as Faas and Henry who were mentioned above, a bounty has also been met on young Hollister, California sensation Ryan Bernal. In addition to the whopping main event purse, which pays $5,000.00 to win, $2,500 for second, $1,250.00 for third and a handsome $500.00 just to start, ace Southern California sprint car mechanic Jimbo McCoskey is putting up another $500.00 for the “Hard Charger.” McCoskey, who has turned wrenches for top stars including “Showtime” Danny Sheridan, the Vander Weerd twins and Bruce Douglass, wanted to put up the money just for his pure love of sprint car racing. Each entered driver will receive a swag bag that will contain the event poster, All Coast Construction t-shirt, In N’ Out Burger gift card, “Saugus Speedway Scrapbook”, surf stickers, Surf N’ Sprint stickers, Ventura Raceway stickers and other surprises. Any company or individual who would like to donate to the “swag bags” can call or E-mail the contact information at the start and end of this release As earlier announced, any past VRA (Ventura Racing Association) champion or any locals who normally runs with VRA (who have started two VRA races prior to May 9th) will receive a free Hoosier right rear tire from All Coast. Also, Arizona teams will receive $500.00 in tow money (if two teams travel together in one hauler, the $500.00 will be paid to the team that owns the hauler). As stated above, teams are urged to pre-enter the event by May 1st to get the free USAC entry and free pit pass as well as help get the word out on who will be at the prestigious race. Also those who pre-enter by the deadline will get the following benefits when they arrive at the track on race night.
