Lawrenceburg 04/11 + Updates.

Near perfect day in SE Indiana. Should be a bit warmer evening than last week.

I for one will be there whether the number of sprint cars are 15 or 50. Wherever you end up I hope the racing is good and the fields are full.

6th was Justin Owen not Gardner.

On edit: Back home with a REAL keyboard.

I thought I counted 24 cars. There was 22. My brother was the bean counter, not me.

The Hoffmans were at a rare weekly show to try a few things not the least of which is a new XXX chassis. Started on the pole, led flag to flag and had at least a straightaway lead on 2nd, no yellows in the feach and I don't believe we had one in the heats either. Landon Simon was a very strong second and 3rd thru 6th was a battle royale the last 1/2 dozen laps.

Heat winners were Simon, Bacon and Gardner.

Nice tribute to Lauren Hill by Dave and the Gompfs and good words by Chad.

One final note: Abraham was a scratch on the night. His mechanic, Lot, had to tend to his sick wife. It seems Lot's wife's low-salt diet don't seem to be working. :3:

Or do something with the 50/50 raffle? Or set aside 22% of the 50/50?

I would like to personally thank Bobby Gompf of the Lawrenceburg Saftey Crew for adding $22 to every position in honor of Lauren Hill. Bobby and his guys are the best in the business and great people.

Also... Thank you Dave Rudisell and Lawrenceburg Speedway for adding to your purse! The best "local" show pay in the state and by far the nicest facility!
