Photos from USAC Benevolent Fund Benefit Posted
I have my photos from the USAC Benevolent Fund Go Kart races at Fastimes posted at :
www.Racephoto1.com , and a few comments. It was an enjoyable day at Fastimes. A lot of drivers from USAC, Ballou, KT, Santos, Wease, MDC , were just some of the people. It paid nothing to win, but with pride on the line , it may as well have been $10,000 to win. Four and a half hours after the racing started they had a winner. Kevin Thomas Jr's team. You hear a lot about the Benevolent fund, but rarely know who receives the grants they award. This year two recipients were there. Quinn McCabe who was injured in a midget race at Spoon River, and Greg Staab, who has received help during his fight with cancer. I know USAC gets kicked around at times, but this is one branch of the organization that does remarkable things for those in the sport. All I can say is thanks to them for this. It's about racers helping racers when they're in need. |
