Columbus IN Racers' REunion
March 28---11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds south of Columbus on Indiana Road 11, 2 miles south of State Road 46--Family Arts Building
There will be the usual items--racing memorabilia, videos, vintage and modern race car displays. Bring your scrapbooks, pictures, posters, books, toys, etc. Vender tables $20. Table top sprint car racing for the kids. Door prizes, awards, trophies, food and drinks. Admission is free. Need to know more? Call Greg Littleton at 812-378-2060 or email him at roadsters@comcast.net. Again I'll miss this due to my presence needed somewhere in the mountains of western North Carolina. |
Always a spectacular afternoon, some great vintage cars on display and some of the best b.s.'n old drivers in the state. A day not to miss and a short drive. And if Danny Smith comes you might see his old "Gambler" out in the cornfield (inside joke).

Didn't that happen on the way there a few years back? Bob

Re: Columbus IN Racers' REunion
I am planning on bringing a large lot of Indianapolis 500 and sprint car memorabilia ranging from vintage postcards, vintage programs and books, and diecast to sell. Is there usually a good turnout for this event?
|
Yes, a Great turnout last year. If your prices are good you will sell. I never leave without a bag of photos and goodies.
|
It did, Danny said he had used tie-downs he salvaged from his shop fire and as he made the big right turn the "Gambler" made a left turn on its own, only natural for that car to turn left.
