Plymouth Speedway

Anyone hear what happened last night at Plymouth? Saw some pictures from last night on a modified racers Facebook of the fence tore down and the top half of a light pole (with lights) laying on the ground. They had to cancel the show because of damage.

We had 2 mods at the finish line tangle and one of the cars was unfortunately launched into the fence above the concrete and hit the support poles just right and tore through the fence and hit the light pole behind the fencing knocking the light onto the fence. The poles, fence, and light pole were destroyed. Both drivers walked away fine but the damage was too bad to continue. For the safety of the fans and drivers, we couldn't continue.

Seen it happen right in front of me. #20 Chad White has a big reason to be mad at the #07 Damen Bock. Chad was forced into the wall. Felt bad for White as his car was totally destroyed. Go to the tracks Facebook page for pictures.

That was one of the most intentional wrecks I've ever seen period.

Looks to me like the guy on the outside should have lifted. Is that how you saw it Nathan?

No it happen right in front of me. Damen & Chad had 2 run ins the first few laps. After about lap 4 chad went high to go around and off turn 4 gave Damen the inside line. Coming off 4 Damen moved over a bit towards the wall and that's how it all started. Was sitting just past the flag man all the way at the top and watched it unfold. The video doesn't do the accident justice. It was bad enough the flag man was hit in the throat by a rock during an earlier heat race now this.

Glad everyone walked away, looks as if he hadn't have clipped the light pole he's coming into the stands.
