Happy Birthday To A King
 

This isn't Indiana open wheel subject matter but I believe it deserves a mention, nonetheless.

Richard Petty turns 77 years of age today and this will be his first birthday without his bride of 50 some years, Lynda.

I was a King fan from the time I was a very small child and had the distinct honor to have met and conversed with Richard on more than one occasion. One of my most prized possessions is a get well card I received from Richard back in February of 1994 when I was going through some health glitches.


HAPPY BIRTHDAY KING, the world, and especially the racing world, is a better place as a result of your class, dignity and down to earth values!
