front axle length

Trying to figure out how wide of an axle I can go with on an upright??

I've seen 44 and 45's mostly ran on uprights these days.

Chassis has 28 inch bar so im thinking atleast 48 in axle.

Re: front axle length

Most axles I've seen are 44", except Henchcraft. He uses a 42" axle, then uses 1" less backspacing on the wheels to get the same track width.

Re: front axle length

If we are talking front end....I suggest a 44 or 45, depending on where the shock tower sits. A 48 inch will make the car very tight unless you used 5 off wheels on the front.
