Mayhew takes qc win
 

Kurt mayhew of northern Indiana made his second stop at the quad city speedway Sunday a 2 for 2 event. Earlier in the year mayhew made an exciting last corner pass to take the win against Aaron Schuck. Sunday night mayhew made a charge from his 12th place starting spot to battle hometown midget racer Robbie ray for the top spot in the final 11 laps before taking the lead and the win in the later stages. Ray would finish in second followed by
Korey weyant bringing home 3rd. 23 cars would do battle for the $500 pay day which included 5 national midgets, 4 ecotech midgets, and 14 outlaw mini sprints. The Illinois midget racing association would like to thank all competitors and track owners/ promoters for taking a chance on our series and making it such a success in 2013.
