Last time I was there you could carry in food and soft drinks.

No booze.

Don is correct unless you pay the extra $10 to park on the back stretch. Then you can bring in a cooler full of tall boys and fire up a grill. No glass.

No carry in alcohol in the main grandstands. Food and other drinks OK, they do check coolers

Jeff,
That may have changed as well, because there is now a sign at the Pit entrance that states...."No Carry in Achohol, per Indiana State law". In previous years it was ok on the back stretch because no beer was sold back there, but I beleive there is now beer (and food) sold from under the turn 2 grandstand. (at least this was the case at the UMP LM race). The sign is there non the less:confused:

Of course there are creative ways to get your beer in. :wink
and it helps to sneak in the same brand of beer sold at the track.

That is correct Kieth. There is no carry in alcohol on the backstretch anymore. Under the turn 2 bleachers is 2 pop-ups and beer and food are sold there. Also for any drivers or people in the pits, food and soft drinks are now sold by the tech building.

Copied from FAQ on the www.lawrenceburgspeedway.com web site...

Q. Do you allow alcohol to be brought into the speedway?
A. By the Indiana State law, you cannot bring in alcohol.

Since the new facilty has been built with more grandstands in turn 2, The State of Indiana won't allow beer to be brought into the speedway at all. Coolers will be checked by the police. We feel our beer prices are fair and our beer is ice cold. The law is the law, whether we all like them or not. We do allow 14" coolers to be brought in, so you can pack some Coke and bring in food if you like. Thanks for your understanding in this matter.

At least they don't have more people in the parking lot than in the stands durring the races like some track, not aruba, jamaica either.

That's Funny: The Class Track Tri-state is in Indiana and they sell the 16oz cans for 2.75 and you can bring beer in the grandstands & THAT you can bring in coolers of beer and they also sell beer. So pay the state, so we can bring in our beer in coolers. So don't say the state won't allow it when other Indiana tracks have a state licence so you can bring your own beer. Tell the complete story
