RIP - Kenny Rich

On behalf of everyone at Gas City I-69 Speedway, we would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Kenny Rich. Kenny passed away this morning. He was a former racer and scorekeeper, helping us out at Gas City a couple of years ago. He and his wife, Colleen, along with many of their family members, handle the concessions currently at Gas City. Viewing for Kenny will be Sunday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at St. Patrick Catholic Church (corner of Washington and Broadway) in Kokomo. Funeral will be on Monday at 11:00 AM at the church.

Correction: Viewing will take place from 3:00 until 9:00 at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W Lincoln Rd in Kokomo.

Godspeed Kenny Rich, Kenny used to come by the shop when we had the modified, he really "lit up" when he talked about his racing days which I was too young to remember, but by all accounts he was quite a racer in his day...St. Peter open the pit gates, another dirt racer is coming home...

Shamrock your right. He always kept an eye out for a couple of wayward modified boys, stopping by to check on us in the pits at Kokomo. I'll bet he's scorin one h*ll of a feature right now behind those gates. May the perpetual light shine upon you Kenny..............

My condolences to Kenny's family and friends. He was always very nice to me and offered to help in any way he could when I worked USAC races at Gas City.
