West Coast Drivers

I know its a couple of weeks away yet but is anyone planning to come out east for Indiana Sprint Week?

Not sure on Cali/Arizona clan but if someone five years ago would have told me a OKIE/Louisiana clan would be kicking butt in Indiana. I would have called them liars. :)

Don't get me wrong - I appreciate the effort it takes for ANYONE to commit to ISW - but I must admit I miss the days of a half dozen or more west coasters making the long haul out here.

I remember in the early 60's when Jim Hurtubise and Parnelli Jones came east with their Chevy-powered Fike and Sterling Plumbing Specials. Turned sprint car racing on it's ear. And gave the sport two of its most colorful characters.

USAC should give some tow money to anybody in the top 10 in USAC/CRA points and market it as west coast vs midwest kind of thing.
