Lots of prayers needed for family of Gary Cook Jr.
 

A sad weekend in the racing family as UMP Modified driver Gary Cook Jr. has passed away not from a racing accident but from a long hard fought battle with cancer. From a caringbridge site that his wife posted on every day, his wife, mom, and dad was with him at his bedside when he passed away. R.I.P. Gary God Speed. #64

I hate that "C" word! Sorry for the Cook family's loss, will keep them in my prayers.

Some IOW folks may have seen him race, and not remember it. Gary won the very fast modified race at Lincoln, Illinois last August that was on the program with the POWRi midgets.
Unfortunately that was the last time I got to "talk racing" with him.

Thoughts and prayers going out to the Cook family. Yes the "c" word is a very bad work.
